Hi Jo,
Could not find James in Saxthorpe, but looked in Corpusty, as on the 1851 Robert was born in 1840 and Elizabeth born 1844 both in Corpusty.
I found-
James (it looks like Flowerdew) 37
Martha  33
Ann 6
Thomas 5
Robert 1

I have the Saxthorpe ATs transcripts

births
1803 sep...  Howmans   James son of Frances priv Bap

1782 oct 24  Howmans  Frances daughter of John and Margaret

1786 may 14 Howmans Sarah daughter of John and Margaret (Eagleton) born 7 may 1786 priv Bap

Regards Eileen

Hi Jo,
James Howmans (aka Flowerdew) was my ggg-grandfather and Martha my ggg-grandmother, I have loads of info on the family - including my "Flowerdew" theory.  I also have a one-name study on the Howman/s name.  I think your interests are lying with the Dagless side of which I have little info - infact, if you have any info on Martha's parents/grand parents, siblings etc I would love to hear it.  Hope to hear from you soon.
 :)
Sorry my emails are not working
