Rev William H Kellock
« on: Friday 29 September 06 23:04 BST (UK) »
William Kellock was born in Scotland 1865(ish) and a minister with the United Presbyterian Church.  I have located his grave at Abney Cemetery, London (Hackney).  Is anyone in the position to tell me if he was attached to a church there.  I have him in Glasgow on 1901 Census and cemetery index states he died 1915.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks for new information seen above.

William H Kellock was my great grandfather and both his two surviving daughters into adulthood, Catherine and Hilda, were well known to me up to their deaths in the mid 1970s.  I believe he was working in a London church as his last job.  I have only been researching him recently, using census records back from 1911 (in Liverpool with his three daughters; Wilhelmina died soon afterwards).  His mother Grace had died in the 1890s and his wife, also Catherine, reached a good age by 1947.

My results to date, based on 'findmypast' can be seen in Wikitree.  Early years are a bit uncertain as his mother Grace's year of birth is inconsistent in the nearest census results I could find and his father had died young.  It is possible he was adopted by the age of 6.

Hi John

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

Alba hasn't posted but was online recently so as long as their email address hasn't changed, they should receive notifications that we have posted and hopefully come back soon.
