TAYLORS in Aldridge
« on: Thursday 28 September 06 20:22 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out the maiden name of Eliza Taylor, born about 1826 in Wiltshire. She married Thomas Taylor, born about 1820 in Aldridge. Their first son William was born about 1850, and baptised at Aldridge in Feb 1851.
In 1851 they lived in Aldridge, but by 1861 had moved to Walsall.
I have been unsuccessful in finding the correct marriage index number as well as William's correct birth index number.
Plaese can someone help?

Hi Sawyermac

the only marriage to an Eliza (or Elizabeth) I found between 1837 and 1850 which was close to Aldridge or Walsall was this one
Thomas Taylor to Elizabeth Horton Sept Qtr 1844 Walsall

dont know if its of any use?

Thanks Wendy,
I have sent for Eliza Taylor's death certificate, (hopefully the right one).
Both Thomas's and Eliza's names appear on William's mariage certificate, Eliza as a witness.
Peter :)
