Hello,

I wish I could reply to multiple locations - I'm in the Stirling area, so most places are fairly accessible.

Cheers,

Hi Clare  :)

Stirling might be a possible compromise venue - Highland-ish with lots of history and within jumping distance of Glasgow and Edinburgh. A bit further to Inverness though.

Are you a possible helper  :) ;) :)

We're still waiting on the date of the Dublin meet at the moment but things are looking pretty good  :.

I'm getting very excited about this!

When I was 8 years old, my parents took us on a European holiday (Kombi camper and all) - I still have a book I bought on that trip, inscribed in 8-year-old scrawl on the flyleaf "Bought at Stirling Castle"  :)  We camped there, or somewhere very nearby, and there was a bookshop and I bought this book because it was about horses, and I was pony-mad.

I hope the meet happens and that our trip happens....still interested in checking out a distillery or two at some stage?  You know, for family research purposes and all that...

Yes, well having recently discovered that hubby's ancestors owned land which now houses the Cragganmore distillery, hubby is suddenly much more interested in family history, and suggested that we might like to visit the ancestral home when we're over there...purely for historical insight, you understand!  ;) ;D
