Hi Prue,
Oct/Nov appears to be a bit cheaper return to LHR. You can get price quote online from Qantas/SingAir etc. You lucky duck - sounds like a fun time is planned!

Glasgow sounds good to me as does the autumn, wonder Ms Pels thinks, we can get train quite easy to Glasgow, only have to change at Edinburgh ;D

I have also stayed at Jurys in Glasgow last year, was very good, large breakfast, enough to start you up for the day and also was quite central

Thanks Gadget  :D  Believe me I'm trying hard to make it happen!  Airfares go down from 1 Oct for about 2 months, so if we did come it would be probably no earlier, but not much later than that.  In fact if we could, we would fly out on the 1st.  Is that too late in the year for everyone else?  I was kind of hoping to come in the late summer/early autumn (northern) but the airfares are ridiculous at that time of year...unless one wants to fly Vietnam Airways etc (I don't - well and truly done my time on dodgy airlines!)

I would love to see everyone's photos  :) :) :)  I just love them, love looking at the subjects as well as the object so the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned!

The one advantage of Glasgow is that we don't have to worry too much about the weather. There's masses to do and see, so, if you can't make it until Oct 1st, I'm sure we would all be happy to work around that - we must have our Prue  :D

Early October is often a wonderful time to visit Scotland anyway - all those colours  :)

Gadget -

October would be cheaper coming from the US but I will try to attend whenever you hold the meet. Would need to be all weekend in order to make the trip worthwhile.
