If we do Glasgow can we go to the Willow Tearooms......... every time I go to Glasgow it is closed (i.e. after I finish work or on Sundays  :'( :'( )

I have been and found it a bit disappointing. Most of the decor, chairs, etc seemed to me to be reproduction, and not very good repro (lots of plastic in place of glass). Jolly expensive too.

But hay ho, if you've never been, and there is the opportunity...

The Willow Tearoom is just for tourists. Not worth the effort really. The only reason to go there is  to admire the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and you can see this in many places in Glasgow.

Thanks for the update on the tearooms, I had a feeling they would be  commercialised and expensive..... phew you have saved me the trouble finding out ......  but I may just pop my head in if we get there it would be cheeky not too!!!  ;)
