Hi Ger thanks for the reply and I will send regy a message as he is chasing the same family.
My Tranter's were in Birmingham from 1773 onwards. Before then they were at Eardisland, Lyonshall And Titley.

Hi David I have Rebecca Turner m Joseph Tranter 1744 Pembridge and Ann Beddoe m Philip Tranter (son of Joseph & Rebecca) 1772 Ludlow.

Are these the same Turner & Beddoe families that you have?

sorry i dont go back that far my great aunt lilian bertha clarke  born 1898 worcester married william beddoes born 1895 she then married his brother cyril george beddoes born 1905  i have a john walker turner born 1852 worcester married a alice verrender formally alice leason they had a son oliver born 1895 worc         david

Hi there.

I am trying to find information on the ancesters of Joseph Tranter born in Greenwich England 1819 who came to South Africa at the age of 14 - 16. He had a sister Sarah Tranter. His farther was Joseph Tranter and his mother unknown. He lived with his aunt Alice Eliza Whybreu in the Eastern Cape. He married Catherine Lorden. I have his family tree from him onwards, but no information on his parents, grandparents, etc.

The post by Regy below looks promising. Does anyone have more information on last Joseph in the family tree below?
