if anyone out there knows Sidmouth history and can help, I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking for information on Isaac Spencer, 1767 0 c 1850, who was a cordwainer in Sidmouth, and father of James Spencer who had the same trade. Isaac's wife was Jane/Jenny Nethercott. I've been able to trace her family back, but have no idea as to Isaac's parentage - I know the Spencers were quite a busy family in Sidmouth (ran a carriage business as well) - does anyone have more information please?
