Right then  ;D

Details of which I can kind of match in on 1871 Census are: -

James Mc Bride (Boarder)
born abt 1813 aged 58 Co. Down Ireland
Widower
Cotton Sorter
32 Davies Street, Liverpool

There is a death of a Mary McBride in 1870 (Qtr Oct - Dec) born abt 1819 died aged 51 in Manchester

There is a death of a James McBride in 1873 (Qtr Oct-Dec) born abt 1810 died aged 63 in Manchester

There are that many James McBrides in the 1841 / 1851 census's and because there isnt much information provided on those census's I cant really match up.

If you do get any more information on the McBrides let us know and perhaps we can dig further.  ;D

Many Thanks.

This one is a bit of a one!!!! I have traced my GG Grandfather (Henry McBride) James son. On Henry's wedding cert it states that hif father was James a shoemaker.....But I have no concrete evidence that James came to England. But Henry lived on Grandby row and got married in the church on grandby row. So I am really looking for Henry living with James to tie them together.

Henry was born in Ballybay Co monaghan but that doesn't mean James was.

I have found a record of a James Mcbride, shoemaker born Ballybay on the 1881 census but he is thirty years too young ??? ??? ???

Get you thinking cap on ;)

Hi Jane  ;D

What year was Henry born and what year did he get married?  Does it state on Henrys marriage cert if his father was deceased?

Regards

Right, I think I have found the correct people.

On the 1841 Census (which I have a copy of) we have the McBride family all born in Ireland living in the district of Hulme, Manchester

Did Henry marry someone called Ellen Elliot in 1859?

I;m probably well off the beaten path but hey! well shall keep trying.  ;)
