Good one polldoll.

Now some lessons in basic cropping would be great for some of us oldies with little techo knowlege. Arranroots gave me info to download IrFanView for editing pics. HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK??? (*) Or any other program for that matter.

This old wrinkly could learn some if any one is interested in doing a tutorial.

Take care
Robert & Karon

Thanks to the moderator Boongie Pam and her comments about 2 or 3 items below, I have had a go at resizing and cropping an image from first year in primary school.

Thanks also are due to all who contributed to the "cropping and resizing images" link that Berlin Bob has posted.

While being a balding, grey haired, wrinkly old fart has many advantages, some things are beyond comprehension.  GENEROSITY is a gift, only when it is accepted by another.  Thank you all for your gift of knowlege, and with that here is my first attempt at cropping and resizing.

MODERATOR COMMENT: Image Cropped - only a photo of yourself may be posted

I am the young feller who:
1) Just had to try cutting his own hair (finge) and
2) Had a mother that insisted on wearing a tie for the school pic

Here is hoping......

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Your mother obviously had similar ideas to mine - and I, too, spent a few months at school with a self-inflicted gap in my hair!

Glad to see you are improving with another kind of crop, though!

Paul

Well done !! ;D  ... us ol' wrinklies have to stick together!!

:-X I've got a very similar pic from 1956... think we may be what  are known as  a "boomer baby !  :o......  :-\ or is it "baby boomer" ??? ??? ??? ::)
anyway .... if you would now like to scan your pic at 300 dpi or more  and post it on the photo restore page I will iron out the creases  wrinkles for you ! :D ;D   Ahhh the beauty of photo manipulation  8)

Just a quick restore to show you what can be done... the bigger the number of pixels per inch the more we can retrieve..
Cheers
