I managed to have a look at Somerset records; I've just found one line going back there.  One record looks as though it might be a good one!

My Somerset records are already online elsewhere as noted by FreeREG.
Do they copy and paste or do they just link to other records that are already  online?

Sorry, don't know how they do it.  I did not know that Somerset records could be found elsewhere!  Will check that out later....just off to the hairdressers!

The Somerset records are imported from other sources, where they exist. All records accessed at FreeReg exist inside the FreeReg database, whereever they originate from.

And most especially the origins of William Cannings,  a Baptist, born abt 1791 in Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire

Ive managed to get on to freereg from my uni house in Norwich, but still no joy on saturday in sussex. Coverage of norfolk and somerset is v.good and hopefully they will put some new info on soon.

I've just had a quick look at your website, Burrow Digger, in case the few microfiche parish records I have are of any use to you, but it doesn't look like it  :(

However, if you find any of your lot might be in Stockland, Membury or Dalwood, just let me know  ;D

I actually offered my services for these parishes to FreeReg but they never replied to my email, so if that's any indication, you might be in for a bit of a long wait......

In Somerset, my parish of Milverton already has OPRs transcribed and online. :)

In Devon - I'm interested in Ottery St Mary, Budleigh Salterton, Honiton, Exeter city and other parishes in that area.

I'm looking to see if I can get access to some OPRs from OSM eventually.
