Hi Linda,

That's a shame that no one has replied.  The person who I am dealing with has been great but I think she is only dealing with a part of the Scottish project, so maybe I have just been lucky.

It kind of annoys me when people look for volunteers for things and then when the get them, they don't even bother replying.

News and Developments
June 2006

Volume testing of the new system continues with the County Coordinators, Data Editors and a number of transcribers actively entering data into the database and conducting searches.
There are currently nearly a million records entered into the database.

We hope that the database will be available to the public for searches in the next few weeks.

Do you think it will be up soon??

Does anybody know when the parish records will be going online on FreeREG? If you go into that site all you get "in a few weeks" and that was from the beginning of July.

Hi all,

It is probably worth pointing out that despite the fact that it might be up and running soon, it is likely that it will be like FreeCen - where not all parishes will be available at the beginning.
