I've tried 4 times with no apparent success.
We may need to connect by our own e-mail.

Many thanks for the picture, I really appreciate it and I can't wait to show my mother. I believe that is Cissy in the photo. It's hard to date the photo, but I think Cissy is around 12-14 years old which would make it around 1925. It funny because Cissy always spoke about the horses at a farm in  Jamestown where she said she bought milk. The Jamestown water must have something to do with the longevity of our relatives. My nana, Cissy, passed away in 2007 age 96.

The only person we knew of was Elizabeth's granddaughter, Agnes Dines (married name). I don't know who her parents are. She was younger than Cissy and Duncan Thomson used to take her on days out to Glasgow when he went up to translate for Indians that had settled here.

Many thanks
Jacqueline

I'm really glad the photo FINALLY made it through.
Just to help you out a little with Agnes Dines - she was born in Jamestown in 1917, the daughter of Alexander Smith McKay (eldest child of John and Elizabeth McKay) and Agnes Gordon Lynn. Agnes married James McConemy Dines in Jamestown in 1951. I know Agnes had two children (Mary Elizabeth and Ann Agnes).
Still looking for the other photo.

Hi Brian

Got copies made of the photo you sent, we are all thrilled with it.   To see a  photo of a grandparent  as a child , from the 1920s is wonderful. Have you had any luck tracing the other picture

Thanks Jacqueline

No luck so far. I'm trying in another location.
I'm glad you are happy with the photo. I hate the thought that some of those old images will be lost (forever).
