Monkwearmouth marriage register lookup

Hi Everyone

Can anyone please assist with a marriage register lookup for Monkwearmouth? Details are as follows:

Francis Henderson married Sarah Rowell on 7th May 1826. Sorry I'm not sure which church.

Looking for further details, parents, where living etc.

Would be extremely grateful for any help anyone can give.

Go on Genuki. Open relevant years for marriages at the only churches in the area, namely, Sunderland, Monkwearmouth & Bishopwearmouth. Type one of the surnames in the 'find' widow. You will find this marriage in one of these churches.

I've looked this up because I have all three Genuki links in my favourites.
Answer:
They married at St Peter's Monkwearmouth, established 674AD. Most of my ancestors were baptised there.

Also interested in this couple; Francis HENDERSON & Sarah ROWELL as I believe their son Francis chr 1833 may have emigrated to New Zealand and started a family there.

Any information on ancestry & descendants welcomed.

This Francis Henderson b 1833 was actually killed in a pit accident on 3/7/1878 at South Hetton.  I have further info if you need it.

That will explain why he wasn't in the 1881 census. I'll have to start looking elsewhere.
