Thanks Jenn
Any chance of some infor on his father Thomas Potter, and Mother if possible.  I seem to have 2 potter families doing the blend somewhere.  The other members I have is George Herbert Potter and Percy Thomas Potter not sure where they fit.  Thomas Potter was the blacksmith in Whyte Yarcowie during the 1880s, and his son Edgar until 1915.

Hi Evie 19

I'm in Adelaide and for 10 years have been doing free research for people all around the world who want information about ancestors/family who came to South Australia in the 1800's.  I was in the South Aus. Hi Evie

I've been on the Rootschat board long enough now that I don't have to keep telling people that I have been doing research for 10 years, so I am just going "head on" with the information I found at the State Library a few days ago.  The following is what I found:-

BIRTH.

Edgar Livingstone born 6th January 1871 near Wistow, District Mount Parker, son of Thomas Potter and Livinston Chalmers reference book 91 page 398

MARRIAGE

Edgar Livingstone aged 25 years, single, son of Fumas Potter married 26th Febarury 1896 to Alice Emily Polden, aged 22 years, single, daughter of george Praeen at Residence of G. Praen, Orroroo Distric Gilbert reference bookk 186 page 723

CHILDREN BORN TO EDGAR LIVINSTON POTTER AND ALICE EMILY POLDEN IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

1. Cecil Luxton born 20th November 1896 Whyte Yarcowie District Burra reference book 594 page 207

2. Stanley Thomas born 24th July 1898 at Orroroo District Frome. reference book 627 page 367

3. Marjorie Maud born 22nd February 1913 at Terowie District Burra reference book 905 page 72

MARRIAGE

Cecil Luxton aged 24 years, single, son of Edgar Livinstone Potter married 6th September 1921 to Rose May, aged 30 years, single, daughter of Alexander Laverty at residence of Alexander Laverty, Terowie, District Burra reference book 288 page 686

MARRIAGE

Allan aged 23 years, single, son o Frederick Ira Vinall married 23rd October 1937 to Marjorie Maud, aged 24 years, single, daughter of Edgar Livinston Potter at Methodist Church, Prospect North, District Adelaide refernce book 382 page 4149

MARRIAGE

Thomas Potter aged 26 years, single, son of Herbert Potter married 16th September 1868 to Levingston Chalmers aged 27 years, single, daughter of Levingston Chalmers at Wesleyan Chapel, Brompton, District  Adelaide reference book 76 page 615.

MARRIAGE

Allan aged 23 years, single, son of Frederick Ira Vinall married 23rd October 1937 to Marjorie Maud, aged 24 years, single, daugher of Edgar Livingston Potter at Methodist Church, Prospect North District Adelaide reference book 382 page 4149.

Unfortuntely I cannot provide children born to Allan and Marjorie because the South Australian birth records stop at 1928.

DEATHS

1. Stanley Thomas aged 26 years, of Prospect died 8th January 1925 at North Adelaide District Adelaide reference book 475 page 506 symbol 'H' denoting Stanley died in a hospital.

2. Edgar Livingston aged 59 years of Prospect died 30th May 1930 at Prospect District Adelaide reference book 521 page 55

3. Cecil Luxton aged 67 years of Clarence Gardens died 5th August 1964 at Adelaide, District Adelaide reference book 977 page 5327 symbol 'H' denoting Cecil Luxton died in a hospital.

I intend going into the Library awithin the next week or so, and will look up children to each of the marriges.

I hope the above information is of some interest to you.
