i wonder if someone could help me with a place name.

i have a record of a christening in Cholesbury or Charlesbury, Buckingham. i can't find anything in my motoring atlas , and just wondered if anyone knew of the place!.
also, i would love to know the nearest major town...or place that would be on the map, so i can find it!!.
