I searched for Hazard age 10 and found a George 14yrs and a John 9yrs living in bermondsey Parents Ann and robert

Also Martha 14yrs - Old St brother John - parents ? and Betsy

and

Mary J 6yrs Kentish Town Parents Daniel and Sofia and sister Teresa Ada

Sadly no Edward


Also spelt hasard

Charles 15yrs living in the Strand

All via the Index so if you want more info - Ill have to go to the disks for that

Hi Jonathan,  Yes this very well could be him, as he had a sister Caroline a wee bit older than himself.  This is the first I've heard of stepchildren though.  We have all heard of his father as John.  Thank you for replying & sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.  Your help is much appreciated.
Is this all the info given on the 1861 census or the ages,occupations & such listed.  Just curious

Charles is a Cooper
Mary a Silk Weaver
Charles Hazard is a Waiter
The other two youngsters are Scholars

The ages can be calculated from the birth years provided.
