Hello! I have a few Tysons in my tree. Not sure if it is a connection but worth a try. ;D

Thomas Tyson who was born 1780 in Spilsby and married in 1804 in Skendleby.  The family lived around Spilsby and Skendelby and were tailors by trade.  Thomas Tyson was actually the illegit son of Thomas Porter/Portas from Belchford and Bridget Tyson.  I have not confirmed but I belive Bridget Tyson was  born in Willoughby and father was Gilbert Tyson.  Gilbert's parents Arthur Tyson and Elizbeth was shown on a record for his baptism in Saltfleetby, St. Clement .  Arthur was bapt in 1701 at Saltfleetby with parents Authur and ELizabeth.

Hi....thanks for your reply! I couldn't see a connection with the information you sent me, my Tysons in Lincolnshire started with Leonard and Rebecca Tyson in Covenham St Mary c 1753, and children William, b 1753, William b 1782 in Louth, Charles b 1809 in Ulcelby, and Matthew b 1855 in Scunthorpe. I will keep your info, it may help.
Many Thanks,
Mal Tyson

As I find out more, I will keep you in mind.  I have seen my Portas family living in Louth in the early 1700's who married into the Tyson family.  Maybe there is a connection

there might be a connection. I do have a Gilbert Tyson who was born in 1738 in Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire. His daughter was Bridget Tyson who had children with a Thomas Portas. Their children went by teh surname Tyson. SO must not have married. Bridget and Thomas Portas had a son Thomas Tyson born in 1806 in Skendelby who married a Mary Walker and they have legitimate children with the surname Tyson.
