certicate delivery time?

Mine finally arrived late yesterday; all good ones but I still cannot link Barbara Windsor's Deeks family with those in my childrens line.   They are not sure if this is good news or not!

My one dated the 15th September arrived today, 1 day late.

However, I ordered another one a couple of days later and the despatch date was still the 15th and it hasn't arrived yet.  Perhaps they are only updating the despatch date every few days or each week?

If yours hasn't arrived then it could be if you ordered it towards the end of that despatch date so it might take a little longer.

My certificate arrived bang on time this morning as despatch date was the 20th, Well done the GRO ;


We had been told that my husbands uncle died in a farming accdident when he was young, there were correct about the age 16 but not the cause, so it was worth sending for.

I love it when family myths get sorted out.  I have had quite a few of them that have been proved wrong. 

I received a certificate this week, one day late, so that was pretty good too!!

My husband was 33 when his father died and he never told him of this uncle and I found out there was another one also, infact he told him nothing at all about his family  his grandmother died when he was  9 and he never met her, this make me feel so cross.  If I hadn't done family history he would never have know anything.

The cert I wanted arrived when I was on holiday on a Greek island (OK, dont get jealous, the weather was foul !) but by the postmark it arrived 7 working days after order, so not bad.

Now to order lots more ... (or maybe use the money for another holiday ?  hmmmm, choices, choices ......)

Still waiting for mine dispatch date 22nd

Really desperate to know who is the mother, cause on one census they are Charlotte's, ten years later they are Carolines. I suppose that is what can happen if the father  re-marries but it's sad for the real mum.

Hopefully all will be revealed soon.

One arrived to-day , five days after dispatch date....hopefully the other will come to-morrow.

I am thrilled because it proves Charlotte is the mother of the children   it was making me sad seeing all her children being attributed to another lady
