I ordered a batch on 2nd with a despatch date of 8th September but had 2 emails today about refunds because the names of the parents did not match.  At least I can cross those 2 off my list and get back to the hunt.

Well I have to say full marks to the GRO, the original record of my certificate was unreadable and it should have been page 412, I put 1412 because I thought that was what it said, they still managed to find it and send the correct certificate to me ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Took the plunge and have just ordered 4 certificates to see if the Deeks in my childrens' line links up with Barbara Windsor's Deeks........despatch date (est)  13 September.

Not too bad; wonder if it will change as the series progresses?

Mine arrived today, within a week. I was very impressed.

Also surprised. I was expecting the death certificate of my gg uncle, but instead got the death cert. of his namesake, my-would-have-been-great-uncle, only 17 days old. Sad. I had no idea that child had existed before. Poor gran.

A lucky but sad find then Meles.

I think I have found the brother of my ggg grandfather that way.

Ordered a death cert for Corles Baldwin, and when the cert arrived it was for a 4 year old boy and I think, because they are irish and the use of the very unusual name that the child's father must be the son of Corles.

Or at least that is what I hope to find one day!

Well mine didn't arrive today although it should have according to the date they gave on Monday (despatch 8th)  >:(

The daft thing at the moment is that they are using TNT for delivery but then it gets delivered by BT up here - no TNT  ::) ::) ::)  When they just used BT, i got next day delivery everytime.

Monday now I suppose.

Back to my tree...................
