yes now that i look at it again it does look like a Glenn - can anyone make out what the name is after the Glenn before the Cully/Culley??? i am sorry to trouble you guys but i am stuck... kindest regards

I think that bit is a contraction of the word 'formerly' - maybe 'fmly' or similar, meaning that she was born CONNELLY, married CULLY but was widowed and is now GLENN.

Yes, I reckon it's actually 'prev', abbreviation of 'previously'. Same meaning.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
