EDWARD BISHOP
« on: Saturday 09 September 06 16:07 BST (UK) »
The father of my paternal gt gt grandfather, Charles Bishop b. 1802 in Milton, Kent, was Edward Bishop, b. abt 1781.  Charles was one of possibly 5 children.  According to the 1851 census I found an Edward Bishop 'visiting' (I think) his son Edward's family (Charles' brother) in Milton. giving his age as 73 a widower and a Bricklayer originally from Tenterden, Kent.    Does anyone have any links with Edward senior and could tell me what his wife's name was?  Thank you.

1841 census HO107 474/10 folio 6 page 5
High Street Milton  Kent
Edward Bishop 60 Kent Bricklayer
Elizabeth Bishop 25  Kent

I think Milton (Regis) next to Sittingbourne not Milton next to Gravesend.

Edward Bishop junior was in Selling on the 1841 and 1851 censuses.

Holy Trinity Milton Regis is on the National Burial index

29th October 1843 Elizabeth Bishop aged 28
11th May 1834 Harriet Bishop aged 19
2nd August 1808 Mary Ann Bishop
