Ricketts info
« on: Friday 08 September 06 12:00 BST (UK) »
Seeking any information on Selina Ricketts, born in 1848 Worcestershire, daughter of Samuel Ricketts and Mary Anne Dark.  Selina went on to marry John George Cooper in 1867 in Birmingham.

Any added info greatly appreciated.

Hi Nell,

I see she was Selina Ann.

I can see her on the 1861 census - any use?

Wow, very impressed with such a quick response!

I have no information about her before the marriage in 1867 to John George Cooper.  They eventually moved out here to Australia with teir children, but no otgherd etails about her.

Cheers

Thank you for your responses.  Will print out and file to records for follow up verification.

Greatly appreciated.

As a matter of interest is Wolverhampton far from Birmingham.  Have checked maps here in Oz, but had to tell.  Hope to travel OS next year and do some "hands on " digging.

As someone who has never visited England either, I'm not very qualified to answer but indeed, these places are not very far away.

sorry, wrongly assumed you were in England.  Not sure why.

Have been reading over your info, yes it is interesting that Selina was not with parents in 1851.  Also Alfred Robert aged 3 months in 1851, not mentioned 10 years later in 1861. More of those never ending mysterious to be followed up at a later date!!!!!!!!!
