I am unable to find any BEETCHENOWS in the 1841 census or the 1851]
Parents William and Martha and in 1841 there would have been a number of children including my gg grandfather Charles Henry b. 1828 Redding. He emigrated to Australia in 1851 or 1852 so he may not be in the 1851 census.
My father can recall greatgrandmother Beetchenow telling him that the family were from London and were "cockneys".
I am puzzled that I am unable to find anything - it is probably transcription errors but I have searched using all sorts of spelling. My searching seems to be dogged by transcription errors
