Smallburgh - Bell Farm

Does anyone know about Bell Farm (I think) in Smallburgh in the 1940's.  My family & I holidayed there from Middlesex in 1947.  My Dad caught a good-sized pike in Barton Broad and I learned to swim in the sand dunes at Sea Palling.  After travelling about I now live in Dereham and would be interested in visiting Smallburgh to see if the farm is still there and its present name.

The names of the places such as Smallburgh & sea Palling are
in Northwich.
There is no Bell Farm listed in the 2005 Info Disk but there
are other farms such as Church, Oak etc.

Can you remember a road or street name!.

Sorry, cannot remember any street names but I am sure the owner of the farm was Bell.  I thought the farm had the same name but then it was a long time ago so I could be wrong!

I have been away for a few days and am not sure quite what has happened regarding my original query.  Cannot see any names and postcodes but presume these were in the message that has been removed.  Sorry if my query has caused problems so had better close the correspondence now.

Shock to see Bell Farm as I have been trying to locate it for a long time.
Trying not only to locate it as my brother and I were sent there for the war years as the Owner/Tenant ? was my Uncle and Aunt .
I was given to understand that their names were Reg and Rubyl.
A mixed farm, sugar beet, potatoes, cereals as far as I recall.   No electricity or mains water (well in cobbled yard), heavy horses and later a tractor!
Masses of wild life and close to the Broads.
Remember row of poplars? opposite the entrance with a solitary house.
Used to walk down the road to the main road to catch bus to school,where?
Hard work but almost the happiest part of my life.
Now living in Romsey Hampshire and not too mobile.
Can you add anything to this as we left in 1947 to go to South Africa as needless to say I would be grateful.        Sevenseas.

I was interested to read your comments regarding your visit to Bell Farm.  As I said, I holidayed there with my parents and brother in 1947.  I remember sitting on a large carthorse with (I think) Mr Bell and having my photo taken and I also remember walkiing up the lane to get the bus.  We were intrigued because you seemed to be able to hail the bus anywhere on its route and it would stop!
We enjoyed swimming at Sea Palling and boating/fishing on the Broads.
I am not sure what happened on this post early on but I believe someone must have issued a photo and names because there was some controversy about it.  It rather put me off putting any  more comments on.  We now live in Rugby but still visit our family in Norfolk so am still interested in the area.
