there is a lot of stuff from the NBI on
www.familyhistoryonline.co.uk
it seems to be a pretty good site. it is free search and ppv but very cheap.

I did a quick look for your first guy but not really any luck. I only came up with:
Joseph WALLIS, Aged 79. buried 27 Jun 1894, St Thomas, Bradwell on Sea, Essex.
