Hi,

Not sure whether this has been resolved.
Thomas Umpleby and Esther Brooks are my 3x great grandparents.
I can confirm that Esther died in early 1868.  Thomas' brother David died in 1866 leaving his wife Mary Ann (Gall) a widow.
The two widows then married 05/09/1868.  Thomas then died in 1871.
