Bithell's of Chester
« on: Tuesday 29 August 06 07:15 BST (UK) »
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me, I'm completely new to this and seem to have the most complicated family tree to unravel.
My grandmother was born Freda Ethel Bithell in 1919 in Manchester. Mother was Harriet May Bithell of 51, Faulkner St. Hoole, Chester, father not stated. Freda was brought up in Wrexham by Thomas and Margaret Edwards but she remained in contact with her birth family for a long time, even having holiday's with them.
Does this link in to anyone else's tree or any ideas where I can find out any more info.
Thanks

Hi Penrhos,

Not sure what kind of information you are looking for?

I can see Harriet May on the 1901 census. Let me know if you are interested in the details.

Hi
Thanks for that but I have the census info. Probalbly should have posted a clearer message but the info I am looking for is more info about what linked these two families and what happened to Harriet May after my Grandmother was born. I am probably asking the impossible but I'm hoping someone still alive will know the answers!!!
Thanks for your time

Just in case you don't know - you can search the complete BMD indexes here:
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx
(Complete BMD Index ranges & Images 1837-1983 - you have to view every quarter of every year)

to check whether she married or when she died...
