Hi, can anyone help me find out who the parents of Thomas Jackson born 1820,newcastle under lyme were. He married Rhoda Pattisson at St. John's, Keele, Staffordshire on the 8th August, 1839 and also what his father's occupation was. I can find Thomas and Rhoda on the 1841 and 1851 census but no trace after that. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for replies, didn't know Rhoda's date of birth but had other info. Sorry I had Thomas and Rhoda on the 1861 census but  it is after that they seem to have disappeared. Know that Thomas was still living in September, 1879 as he is not down as deceased on his son Thomas's marriage certificate. Thanks again.

Sorry to say so, but marriage certs don't necessarily mention that a father is deceased     

I can't see them either for the moment - still searching - they must be somewhere (at least Thomas!) Are there Jackson marriage witnesses?

thanks for searching for me, I will try to find out if the names of witnesses are known. I got the marriage details from a contact in Canada!
