I have only just picked up on this enquiry. I was born at HCNH in August 1942. My family were living in Portsmouth.
Janeh is quite right about Willcocks & Martin. They previously had a nursing home in Chichester Road, Portsmouth and my mother gave birth to my brother there.
My father used to cycle from Portsmouth to Holybourne to see us.

I was born in the nursing home in Holybourne in January 1942.  My sister and I think, my brother were also born there.  How can I get the records of those born there, referred to in Jane's email.
