Lillian Lund nee England of Wakefield. When did she die?
« on: Thursday 17 August 06 23:27 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I have been having a nightmare with this one!! I hope somebody with more experience can help?
Lillian England born 1891, Attercliffe, Sheffield, married Ernest Lund (1889 Leeds) in St Andrews Parish Church, Wakefield on 28 Jul 1912.
3 children (that ive found so far ) Harry 1913, Ernest 1916 and William 1918 all born in Wakefield.
William (my grandfather) was 'adopted' by a couple that told him nothing apart from he had kept his real name of Lund.
My dilemma....why was he given up for adoption? I thought that maybe Lillian died in childbirth but i cant find her death in BMDs or maybe William died (he was a Miner) young down the pit, but you guessed it, i cant find him dead in the BMDs either!
Can anyone help me please?
Kindest regards
