Charles was my G-G-Grandfather. I noticed from your post that you are researching the Ware family from Wisconsin. I have a Leroy Ware b. 7 Feb 1912, married Dorothy M Carr.  By any chance is this part of your clan?

Hi Kathy -

Welcome to RootsChat.  Is your question addressed to me?  My Ware ancestors were from Maine; gg grandfather Cyrus H. Ware and his family went out to Outagamie County, Wisconsin in about 1850.  But there was no one named Leroy.

Hi Trevor,

Re the message you received about Ann Carr returning from Wisconsin.

She and her husband  and children came back to England via Montreal arriving in Liverpool on the 25th August 1894.(UK immigration records)

Do you know when they emigrated to America and what they did there

Many thanks

Carole

Dear "Cousin",

Having just 'found' 'Uncle John's' wife to be Ann Matilda Causier - I now see where you fit in to my family tree (I belong to Annie Carr 1871).  It also explains why when I was clearing out my Great Aunt's posessions after she died 9in the 80's) I found a beautiful & huge brouchure for Forest Lawn Cemetery (looking like it was from around the 1930/40's).  Although I must say that the photo I have of "John & Annie" taken "in another corner of our living room" did not lead me to expect them to be in America - just goes to show - they must have gone back after 1901.  In fact I thought I'd found a further record of John coming back to England later on - I'll have another look if you like

Hi Carole,

Sorry to be so long in answering.  Looking at what I have on John & Annie they went back to the USA in 1907, will try and find the papers I had on them.

I am the 2nd Great Granddaughter of Charles Causier and Catharine Hughes. Conducting research on this line since the 1970's.  I met another researcher - SHESEEKS who happens to be the 2nd Great Granddaughter of Charles and Catharine too.  It was very nice for all who provided such indepth material to her.  I already had the information, but it was good to cross reference my old notes again. Amazing all the material that is now found on line, where as years ago, we waited for films to arrive before we could even hope to locate anything.  And the old microfilm and filch machines were deplorable at best.

There is a Causier group on Facebook and all are welcome to join. We try to work together, with one goal--UNITE   There are wonderful pictures posted as well.

THANKS AGAIN

John and Annie left lIverpool Sept. 8, 1907, arrived America 15 Sept. 1907. They went back to Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin to join their son, Charles who arrived from England in 1905. Charles married his cousin Charlotte Field in Bay View.  They quickly move to White Pine, Nevada. This family moves and visits often from Wisconsin and Nevada and then Utah and then California, USA
