Saltwell cemetery

My great grandparents are in Saltwell cemetery and I do not know of any modern day descendants that they may have other than in my immediate family. I had this wacky idea that if I could find out if there are ever any flowers on the grave, that would indicate a relative. Sadly it is 250 miles from where I live. Can anyone think of any way of tracking this? I may be able to get permission to put a small note on the grave for the purpose, but it would be difficult to ensure it stayed in place and readable.

Any suggestions gratefully received. The grave is 70 years old, so in a very quiet corner of the cemetery and not a lot of visitors to the other graves.

Thanks very much. It is in section 7 of teh graveyard. If you go into the cemetery from Saltwell Rd, t is down at the bottom on the extreme left. In that section, it is 25 graves from the right and three down. The family name is Nicholson and Michael (1848-1910) is at the top of it. His wife Mary J and daughter were interred there later. I could mail you a picture if that would help - but am off on hols this evening for two weeks

Yes, that is mine. I have a photograph taken about a year ago. No sign of any flowers etc, but it is often Easter that relatives get flowers and if anyone is tending the grave, that is when it is most likely to be visited. Having said that, it is a real long shot as they are my great grandparents, Thanks v much for checking.

If you go to the left of that row, round the corner, you will also see my grandfather, John Carver's grave. It is sad in a way because the gravestone obviously has space for his wife to join him later, but she was buried in Bolton 40 years later.

hello, I didn't want to start a new topic, so have continued on here...

Is anyone able to visit the cemetery for me and get a photograph of the grave of some of my relatives please?

They are:
Joseph Daglish and Florence Daglish
Saltwell Cemetery Section B - Grave No 1118.

And also Section B Grave 1643 - there is no gravestone on this plot but it belongs to my Gt x 2 Grandparents Mary Ann and William Small and I am just curious to see what the plots looks like or whats around it.  I suspect overgrown grass.

Is there anyone out there who may be able to help me out please?
