Could someone find out any info for me on Michael Kavanagh/Cavanagh born around 1829/1830 in Cosligo.  Also I am looking for info on Winifred Dowd born in Cosligo 1837-1839   Thanks Judy W

What denomination were Michael and Winifred?   

You'll have to rely on Church records as civil registration in Ireland was not introduced until 1864. Non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845 onwards. When registration for BDMS started in 1864 some people didn't bother with the registration for a few years after that date. Keep your fingers crossed that church records still exist.

Hi Chris,  I am assuming that my relatives were Catholic, My fathers family were , so I am thinking my grandparents would be also   How do I find out any info on them , I am lost????  Thanks Judy W
