WW1 - 1st Royal Berkshire Regiment
« on: Monday 07 August 06 09:58 BST (UK) »
My great grandfather, Frederick Charles Speller, was in the 1st Royal Berkshire Regiment during WW1.  Enlisted on 31st August 1914, discharged on 15th August 1917 (no longer physically fit for service).

I am looking for anyone who may have relatives  who fought in the same Regiment, and may have more info.

I have the following: discharge card (army form B2067), picture of the Military Hospital where he was admitted, outpatient treatment card, scans of his medals, some photo's.

Thank you.

Dear Annie,

Thank you for that, I didn't have his medal card yet.  Can't believe I didn't think of that  ::)

I am looking for anyone who's relatives may have served in the same regiment.

Kind regards,

Wendy

Hi Wendy,

This post may be slightly out dated now but I believe we are related. My Great Grand Father was also Frederick Charles Speller. I am from his Son Ronald's side of the family. I would be very interested in a chat and a look at the information and scans you found.

Thanks,

Stephen
