Eager to see comments on the list of Start Up items as I have 53 processes running and haven't a clue what they are all for.
I recently contacted Dell about a virtual memory message I kept getting and after a few suggestions, I backed up everything I wanted to keep and then wound it all back to the start again from scratch. It has solved the problem but as the computer was only about eight months old I don't expect this should have happened. One good point about a Dell computer is that it is easy to reformat, everything is pre-loaded, no discs needed except your software.
I'd like to keep an eye on what's needed or not but am wary of cancelling anything in case I do it to something that stops it booting up.
Does anybody else have any opinion on Michael's suggestions above?
