I'm curious to know what those 48 processes are that you were running when you answered a previous thread.

What I'd like to know is how many processes are running after a cold boot (from when you switch the power on).  So if you switch your power on and wait for Windows to boot up, then when the Desk Top appears press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up Task Manager.

How long does it take to bring up Task Manager.  Is it seconds or minutes?
How many processes are running at this stage? (before you have clicked on anything).
Make a list of all the processes that have your name next to the process.

If you want you can post this list of processes to this forum and I'm sure people here or on another forum can advise you whether they need to running or not.

I was on a course recently and was shown how to do a print of something by using the Print screen button but I have forgotten what to do!!!!

Hi Erin,
   Press Print Screen Key,this will copy the desktop.
   To copy just the active window or dialogue box press and hold the Alt key at
the same time.
      Then open a programme that you want to display the image that you have just
captured such as word pad or your photo editing software.

Click on Edit a menu will appear.
Click on paste, the captured image should appear.
  Save it to file and post here as you would a picture bearing in mind the Rootschat
restrictions.
 I use a different one and haven't done it this way for a long time but it should work
 O.K.
            Just keep trying it till you know how it works.
