KERR & MCANULTY
« on: Friday 04 August 06 04:32 BST (UK) »
Hi Chatters

My g-g-grandfather was Patrick KERR, and his wife Susannah McANULTY.  Left Ireland 1852 for New Zealand with 6 children.  And here they stopped saying too much about where they had come from, apart from Co Down!

Having done some prep work using the Griffiths before I left New Zealand, I did some research while in Dublin 5 years ago.  I found one marriage for a Susannah McANULTY,  in 1835, and she did not marry Patrick KERR, but Patrick McCARRON.  This was in the RC Parish of Dromore and Garvaghy.  The townlands of Corbally and Shanrod seem to be were they lived.

Anyone come across these people in their searches, or on the limbs of their trees?

Hello Jim
Thank you for all that.  I used to visit your site a lot, and then my computer died and I lost all my links.
That post from your guest book is ME.  I was in Dublin a few months later, and it was then that I found the possibility of a name change.
Thanks for your help

Anna
