Swinnerton family monumental inscriptions

Would anybody have any info as to whether there are any memorials/tombstones relating to William & Ann Swinnerton at the churches in Butterton & Swynnerton? Ann was buried at Swynnerton 8 August 1710, & her husband, William, was also buried there on 13 June 1724.

Hi Jayson, it might be worth contacting Alf (who left the last post in Staffordshire Lookup Offers). He has been very willing to go round Staffordshire graveyards for me in the past and donated details of a lot of MIs to the Wishful Thinking site. Am not sure how much success you will have in finding graves that far back but it is worth a try.

I've been in touch with Alf & he said he would have a look for me.  This is very kind of him.  I know how time consuming looking for old stones can be.  I've spent hours in old churchyards & got some very odd looks from passers by.

hi jayson..i am reseraching the egertons of staffordshire.i see a lot of what you are asking about is related to my interests.i have a great deal of info on the egertons of that time and place.what exactly do you need?.

That's really very kind of you.  I'm trying to find out a bit about the family of Sir John Egerton, 2nd Baronet of Wrinehill, Staffordshire and of Farthinghoe, Northamptonshire.  I know he died sometime around 1674.  His wife was, by all accounts, the daughter of George Wynter of Dyrham Park, Gloucestershire but I can't prove it.  Anne left a will dated 1680.  I think John & Ann were buried at Farthinghoe. 

My ancestor James Bayley of Wybunbury, Cheshire married Elizabeth, daughter of John Hough & Elizabeth Thicknesse at Wybunbury in 1734.  Elizabeth Thicknesse was the daughter of Bridget Egerton, and Bridget was the daughter of Sir John.  What I'm really trying to do is fill in the gaps with the dates of baptisms, marriages and burials.  I've searched Madelely parish but couldn't find anything which helped so I'd be really grateful for any help with this.

hi jayson. john egerton of farthinghoe died at wrinehill and was buried at madeley staffordshire 1674.he was the son of sir rowland egerton of egerton and oulton cheshire.john did marry ann wintour daughter of george wintour esq of dernam gloucester.john and ann gave birth to bridgit who married ralph thickness..and married 2ndly timothy hildyard of lincoln.you can find some great documents on the uk archive site.i have purchased many wills thru this.
