Roberts parents Meredith Campbell & Jane O'Neill. Susan's parents James & Susan Mc Connely who was born about 1784.
Francis Reynolds born approx 1847 married in Glasgow to Annie Daily born approx 1847 Francis' parents were William Reynolds and Mary Ann Lavery Annie's parents were John Daily and Bridget Nangle who in turn her parents were James Nangle and Mary Gaffrey

All I know from census's is that they were all born in Ireland. With their respective parents also married in Ireland.I assume that they are all R. Catholics

:)Hello, I am interested in a possible connection with your John Daily.  I have an ancestor Bridget Daily who came to Scotland in or around 1849 from Ireland.  Her parents were Myles Daily & Mary Grogan.  Bridget married William Affleck in Edinburgh, 1850.  I wondered if John was a brother.  Thanks.

Hi
I know nothing of John Daily except that when Annie (my gg grandmother) married aged 21 in 1870 she was born in Ireland somewhere at the time of her marriage she was a barmaid at the Royal Hotel Dunoon. On the marriage certificate her father John is deceased mason journeyman and her mother Annie Daily m s Lavery was still alive but i do not know if they had moved to Scotland or still lived in ireland.

Hi Helen, I don't suppose you have ever found out which part of ireland your ancestors came from?  I note you said John Daily was a masons journeyman, my ancestor was Myles Daily and i just noticed that he was a masons labourer.....probably a long shot but just thought I'd ask.  Thanks!  Elaine  :)

An update on my Daly research.

I found out that Bridget Daly came to Scotland with her parents in the 1840's.
Her father was Miles Daly (I will use Daly as the spelling although it was also recorded as dailly, daily, daley etc) mother Mary Grogan.
Bridget married William Fleck (Affleck) in 1849.
In 1861 Bridgets parents were living in Currie, Edinburgh:
Miles Dailly age 55 (though he was more likely 66) Ag Labourer b.Ireland
Mary m.s. Grogan age 50 b. Ireland
Mary daughter age 23 b. Ireland
Son John age 20 ploughman b.Ireland
Peter age 14 ag.labourer b. Ireland

I am almost certain that this family came from Ardcarn, Roscommon as I found a birth in LDS familysearch for an Annam (Ann?) Daly born 12 July 1843 in Ardcarn, Roscommon to MilesII Daly & Mariae Grogan.  I know the family were Roman Catholic so I guess that these names are in the Latin form??? Hope I'm not showing my ignorance.
