Here is a picture of my Great granddad Robert Jardine, probably taken in the 1920s.  See any family resemblance?

Also found a record of John and Julia's daughter Julia Jardine marrying John Flockhart in Scotland on November 12, 1880.

Great picture. Do you know the location of the photo? Quite a "dapper looking" gentleman.  Don't see any family resemblance but my tired old eyes don't see much anymore anyway.  :)

Do you know how many children John and Julia had besides Elizabeth and Julia?

Looking forward to continuing correspondence with you.

yn9man, I responded to your personal e-mail with all of John and Julia's childrens names that I could track down.  Im a little new at  rootschat not sure where it went!  :P

I am not exactly sure where Roberts picture was taken.  I had heard Middletown, Ct,  it may have also been at the State Library in Hartford,

Clazey -

My John Jardine also came from Dumfriesshire .... parents were John Jardine and Catherine Rae.

My Rix /  Ricks come from Sherbourne, Dorset (1807 is as far back as I have gone to date).

Welcome to rootschat!!  ;D  ;D  I still consider myself a newbie on this site and learn something new each and everyday.

I don't seem to receive my PMs on a timely basis. I will look again tonight before I sign off to see if I got one from you. Until later ...

I will preface with my grandmother, Marjorie Jardine Spry b. July 26,1908 and died March 24, 2006. She was part of the Jardines in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

The following I got off the PEI Island website...and I have found some errors after checking the Scotlandspeople website...

Andrew Jardine b. 6/14/1762 Hutton and Corrie, Dumfriesshire.  Father:  David.

Andrew Jardine married Isobel Corrie.  Son, James was born 2/19/1794 in Corriehills and died April 15, 1871.

James Corrie Jardine married Jane Hope and they arrived in PEI in 1817.

I have also found a James Jardine married to Janet Corrie April 27, 1752 in Dumfriesshire.

I am still digging around to discover if Andrew had siblings.
