My Durham Surname Interests

Just posting my surname interests for this county!

They are:

Stephenson - Hendon in Sunderland

Parker - Swalwell near Gateshead

Hope this is of some help.

In 1945 a William R Tilt married an Elsie Stephenson (nee Tyson) in Sunderland and they had two children, both boys:

Joseph Tilt born Q1 1946 in Sunderland Reg District (mothers maiden name=Tyson)
Gordon P Tilt born Q2 1949 Sunderland Reg District (mothers maiden name=Tyson)

Joseph and Gordon births are both listed in the GRO indexes and both are now deceased.

Yes I would be happy to discuss Gordon. I have tried to PM you but for some reason am being blocked. I will try again from home ( am at work now) but meanwhile hope you get this. How sad that his brother also died young.

have you been to blaydon grave yard as there are some parker grave stones

just a thought do you have a parker married to a sparrow as in my family there is
strong/stimpson/mccarrick/pearson/sparrow/parker/howd/johnston/baron/barron/
cairns/bell/
