1891 & 1901 census lookup please
« on: Friday 21 July 06 17:41 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

I'm looking for John and Mary Ann GOULD in Lancashire (previously in West Derby and Over Hulton).

John Gould was born ca 1837 in Monaghan, Ireland and Mary Ann ca 1835 in Noke, Oxfordshire.  John could be working on the railways or an insurance agent (it varies).
They are unlikely to have any children with them, as I've already found them!

Many thanks
H

If Mary died in 1885, she will not be on the 1891 census will she?

There is no 1901 entry for a John Gould b Ireland.  If you look on the 1901 index on the PRO website, you will see a John Gould aged 62 b Leeds living in Everton.  He is the only John Gould in that age range living in the Liverpool area so it may be his death you found in 1910.

Again - if you check the PRO index you will not see a John Gould with a birthplace of Ireland in that age range
