Hi Ed,

I'm in Wellington, NZ.  If you check out my post numbers I'm not exactly a master of this either!  There is a board for beginners - if you look at the entry page for Rootschat and then scroll past all the England, Emigrants, etc. you will see a board for Beginners.  Have a look at that one as it could have some useful instructions for how to use this forum to your best advantage.

Being a right nosey parker also seems to help  :D.  Just surf the net and get acquainted with other websites for genealogy, the links and what they have to offer.  Read other peoples posts and work it through how they are getting to the information.  Sometimes it really is rocket science and sometimes it's easy.

Above all just enjoy the chase because it makes the prize all that much sweeter when you do finally get it!
