30,000 people divided into 100 portaloo's = 300 people per loo .... hmm, dont envy the men who had to clear that lot up !!   The one we hired for my daughters wedding last year was honking with only 150 people here ... and it was a 'men only' loo ... the females used the house !

and I thought we were discussing the Battle of Hastings, not the Battle of Portaloo...(1815, was it, or perhaps 2006?)

Lydart & Keith

No, the odds were less than that as we also observed a great long line of them on the south side of the field, but didnt have time to quickly count them. as we drove past the fields down Powder Mill Lane.

It looked as though it was a very busy site all weekend.

It was all part of Hastings Week, some clips of the battle re-enactment on Southern Counties Radio Station here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/content/articles/2006/10/09/hastings_week_feature.shtml

There is a link to the Fishermans Museum on the site as well.

I'm sorry I could not make the Rootschat Meet too :(, everyone seems to have had such a great day.
