WILLIAM MCCONNELL WAS BORN IN BALLYMENA IN1820 AND DIED 9 DECEMBER 1905.
HE HAD A BROTHER THOMAS BORN 1825. HE MARRIED CATHERINE DORAN.
 JENNY MCCONNELL WAS HIS SISTER. SHE MARRIED SAMUEL LOUGH IN 1847.
JAMES MCCONNELL WAS BORN IN 1830 AND DIED IN 1874.
 THERE WERE MORE FAMILY MEMBERS,I AM TRYING TO VERIFY. WILLIAM THE OLDER WAS BURIED AT BALLYVERNSTOWN. IT IS NOT A MISTAKE.
THE BULK OF THE MCCONNELL FAMILY CAME TO AUSTRALIA IN 1874 ON THE GREAT BRITAIN.

I read with interest your descendancy chart for William McConnell.  His son, James (1830-1874) married my ancestor's sister, Elizabeth (or Eliza) Gilbert, on 17 Jan. 1850 in Ballycarry, Templecorran, Co. Antrim, Ireland.  For a while, they lived in the New Hampshire / Vermont area of the U.S. and are enumerated in Colebrook, NH on the 1860 census with just one child, Eliza (b. abt 1853).  From census and burial records, I only knew of the first two children.  Where were the other five children born/married/died?  I think I may have been looking the wrong side of the ocean for the family after 1860. 

Where did James McConnell die?  Do you have an exact date of death?

It appears that you have more information on "12.   iii.   THOMAS MCCONNELL, b. 1856."  Would you be willing to post more details about him?

Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864- before that date there will be no birth certificate.

Mary Semple b abt 1836 my understanding this is the Mary Semple who contributed to Oscar Lyle’s book and helped many families with their genealogy

Mary was the daughter of James Semple b 26 May 1825 Ballyeaston and Mary Mawhinney.

James was the son of John Semple and Helena Bikkerstaff other children are
Margaret b 29 June 1822, Letitia   18 September 1827, Samuel 03 September 1829, all born Ballyeaston and John b 14 October 1832 Ballyboley
