Middlesex Lookup-
« on: Saturday 15 July 06 22:15 BST (UK) »
I would appreciate help in finding the whereabouts of my Grandfather Arthur Sydney Ponting and his wife my Grandmother Mary Violet Comyn from 1904 to 1913 when the family with two children Nora Alice b 1906 and Arthur Henry born 1910 emigrated to Canada (Lyn Ontario near Brockville). During a quick trip to to visit my Daughter in London I once again visited the British Library looking for street directories(wrong library). My Grandparents were married May 2, 1904 St Stephen's Church Twickenham, his occupation is listed as Stationer. Arthur or Sydney in the 1901 census was listed as a dairyman living at 74 Chatsworth Road, Hackney. The dairy was presumably his father's Henry born 1823. In 1891 his residence was 261 Crown Road Middlesex, Twickenham. Nora Alice Ponting may have been born in Graves End Kent per BMD. I would appreciate if some one could direct me to the appropriate resource.
Thanks
Ian Ponting

Thank you Meliora, I will order the certificates. It now seems that my Grandfather and Grandmother left the London/Middlesex area after their marriage.
Thank you
Ian

Hi Dawn:
I know. For some reason in Canada we will release the census after 95 years so it is now available at www.automatedgenealogy.com with links to the original documents.
