Englethwaite Hall boys home Cotehill
« on: Saturday 15 July 06 16:21 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know which organisation/charity/church ran the boys home at Englthwaite Hall nr Cotehill Carlisle during the 1940s/50s. I know it is a caravan site now and it was previously a TB home. I have tried googling it but can't come up with anything.

I have just come across this thread. There is considerable information on the Cascat Index of Cumbria Archive Service. This is the link
https://archiveweb.cumbria.gov.uk/calmview/
Just enter Englethwaite in the search box and 40 or so entries will come up.
It must also have catered for girls in the 1950's as a friend of mine's mother was at the house back then.
