Greetings,I am requesting a lookup for William Toomey(Tomey) born C1800.I have a marriage for his daughter Eliza in 1843 who states she resided at 13 Vincent St.Her spouse was George Smith who stated he resided at 14 Vincent St.William was a sailor.Thanks,George in Canada.

Hello, George,

I can find nothing in the 1841 census for a William Toomey-Tomey,  have you considered that as he was a sailor he may have been at sea & so would not show in a census. ?

I have checked the 1841 census for Vincent St, Bethnal Green but could find no Eliza Toomey.

Thankyou for looking Meliora.Yes I considered that as William was a sailor he may have been at sea,but thought at least the family would have been listed.I suppose people moved around a lot then.Thanks again, George in Canada.
