John Owen LAW
« on: Wednesday 12 July 06 02:19 BST (UK) »
Hi I am looking for details and family of JOHN OWEN LAW
 born Jan 1/4 1867 Great Boughton,Flintshire, CHESHIRE
He married Sarah Ann Jones 1890 Flintshire, Cheshire
I don't know more about that marriage than I think they had a son John Owen Law (jnr) Sarah must have died soon after because
John Owen Law married Emily Chesworth 26 Dec 1895 in Flintshire. I believe they had 8 children.
Arthur, Lillian,Harold,Emily,Lily,Thomas Owen, James Stanley,Leonard being the youngest. This family was supposed to live in Boughton,Chester.
Any help would be greatly appreciated either forward or back. Thanks Gidget  ;D
ps I am in Australia and am having trouble getting into the 1891 Census and the 1901 as well. I think John comes up as John O Law in 1891 but I can't get into it. :-[

Hello.

There is a burial for Sarah Ann Law at St. Mary, Bruera, Cheshire,
she was buried on the 8th December 1893, she was aged 24.

She is the only LAW listed for this church, but there are many
Jones burials, so perhaps she was buried in her family parish.

I will send the 1871---1891----1901 census details via PM

Thanks so much for the quick replies. I agree Sarah must have been buried with the Jones family. I haven't any other information except her marriage and now her death date. Wonder if she had a child before she died?? She was married 3 years. But none come up in the 1901 Census with John's second wife Emily. Whose name definitely was CHESWORTH.
I don't know who the Gouldbourne people were on the 1901 census  both were single???? The In-law bit is puzzling.

Hi John I wondered if our Chesworth families were connected in any way. I have managed to connect them to Allostock Cheshire and Tarporley Cheshire but they spead father afield and I have lost track of them. they are definitely from the same area. Unfortunately I can only trace my family forward after the 1800's and they moved to manchester. Ann Chesworth married John Cotgreave in Broughton Cheshire in 1814. best wishes Jude.
